The HI 83224-01 is a multiparameter bench colorimeter that measures 15 parameters and features a powerful interactive user support menu system that assists you before, during and after analysis.
An exciting feature of the HI 83224-01 is it’s automatic recognition of bar coded samples. This advanced meter scans each vial inserted into it’s chamber and automatically identifies the sample and range.
Access the HELP key at any time and the current screen is supported by a host of screen specific information, tutorials or menu options. The tutorial mode can be turned on or off and is available as an option in the Setup Menu.
HI83224-01 bench colorimeter can be connected to a PC via USB. Its software companion is the HANNA HI 92000 Windows® compatible software (optional). This software aids users in managing all the results.

Vial Rotation
During the measurement phase of the analysis, the state-of-the-art vial rotator spins the vial to identify the method via the bar code, than rotates while taking a number of absorbance readings. The instrument then converts the readings to concentration units.
Improved Accuracy
Using the Average function further improves acuracy. When "Average" is enabled in the Setup menu, the instrument takes 180 absorbance readings through the vial as it rotates. The HI 83224 then displays the average value in concentration units. Each individual reading represents a measurement through a new optical path. Averaging minimizes errors due to vial inconsistencies.
User Selectable Measurement Unit
The HI 83224 eliminates confusion by automaticaly converting readings to other chemical forms. Common conversions are available at the touch of a button.
