These 10–12µm particle size plates provide a choice of high-purity silica gels and polarity for normal phase separations by thin layer chromatography. For separation of moderately to strongly polar compounds such as carbohydrates, antibiotics, proteins, amino acids, phospholipids. Plates provide superior performance through better resolution, higher sensitivity, and better durability. Moderate layer hardness permits convenient spot recovery with a sample recovery tube. Plates offer excellent reproducibility, negligible moisture uptake, chemically and optically inert organic binder, outstanding layer stability, and fast separation with excellent resolution.
K5 indicates 10–12µm silica, 150Å pore size; K6 indicates 10–12µm silica, 60Å pore size; D indicates channeled plates; F indicates fluorescent indicator; L indicates preadsorbent layer; M indicates microscope slide; P indicates preparative layer having 500µm or 1000µm thickness for large sample sizes.
